Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Woodstock Hospital on Monday, July 31, 2017. Sue (nee Stephenson), of Cathcart, in her 79th year. Beloved Wife of Ted Thompson for 53 years. Loving Mom of Wendy (Mike) Buchanan, Chris (Gillie), Patty (Mike) Cluett and Jeff (Leigh Anne). Cherished Gramma of Sydney, Cole, Anthony, Miranda, Paige and Luke. Survived by her sister Liz Ficht, and sisters-in-law; Eleanor (Gil) Proulx and Barb Stephenson. Predeceased by her brother John Stephenson and brother-in-law Gord Ficht. Sue will be sadly missed by her family & many friends.

Sue proudly ran the Stephenson General Store & Post Office in Cathcart that was in her family for over 100 years. Sue was well loved and respected by everyone who knew her.

Friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King, Street, Burford on Thursday from 5-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday August 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Sue’s memory may be made to the Woodstock Hospital - Palliative Care, Burford Optimist Youth Fund or a charity of your choice.
