Obituary for Maria W de Swart (Van der Wyst)
On Sunday January 1st, 2023, Maria W. de Swart passed away in her 76th year at the Woodstock Hospital in Woodstock, Ontario. Maria is survived by her husband of 23 years, Patrick MacGregor, as well as her sons; Frank, Mike, Bruce, Wayne, and the late Shawn. Maria is also survived by her grandchildren; Raquel, Aaron, Isla, Rhys, Madison, Calista, and Kiara who always knew and felt Oma’s love. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Frank A. de Swart Sr.
Patrick and Frank were fortunate to see Maria in her final moments and we’re all thankful for the time we had with Maria during her fight with her health. We are mourning the lost of our Mom and will feel that loss for the rest of our days. Mom believed she would eventually be reunited with her son, Shawn, who left us much too soon and I’m sure that somewhere in the universe that is happening. Goodbye Mom, you’ll be missed.
