Obituary for John Keczan Sr.
It is with sadness that we announce the death of John Keczan Sr. on Sunday December 25, 2016. John Keczan, of Burford, in his 93rd year. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, sisters Mary and Julia, son John Keczan Jr. and his great grandson Mason. John is survived by daughters Barbara (Ken), Mary-Lynne and daughter-in-law Sonja.
John was born in Hungary and came to Canada as a young child. He was proud of his Hungarian Heritage. Apo’s pride and joy were his 12 grandchildren Taniya, Kylee, Kaitlyn, Angela, Suzie, Cindy, Katie, John, Michael, Michelle, Tyler and Makayla. Later 19 great grandchildren arrived. All of these “Grands” brought him great joy.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Tuesday January 3, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Interment Pioneer Cemetery, Burford. As expressions of sympathy, donations in John’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. Keith Ovington 519-449-112.www.keithovington.ca
