Suddenly at her home on Monday June 20, 2022, Jean Baka of Burford passed in her 97th year. Beloved wife of Frank Baka for 72 years. Loving Mom of Richard Baka (Beverly), Susan Baka, and Nancy (John) Drong. Cherished Nanny of Lindy (Adam), Nathan (Roxy), Nolan (Noah), Lee (Liz) of Wisconsin, and Courtney (Ebony), Shannon (Fiona), and Amberley (Ben) of Australia. Dear Great-Nanny Jean of Stanley, Wesley, Logan and Kylie. Also survived by her sister Maria, nephew Edward (Bonnie) and niece Cindy (Bob) of Chicago. Predeceased by her son Stanley (1979) and nephew Robert (1997). Jean is remembered by all for her stoicism, kindness, her cooking and her love of watching sports. She was an avid Raptors and Blue Jays fan.

Friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday June 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Pioneer Cemetery, Burford.
