Obituary for Donna Ruth Pizzey (Ovington)

Donna Ruth Pizzey (Ovington)
Surrounded by the love of her family, Donna Ruth Pizzey (nee Ovington), 70 years, after a 19 year battle with Alzheimers, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Woodstock Hospital. Loving wife of her devoted husband Bob for over 51 years. Cherished mother of Bob & Stacey of Clarkston, Michigan and Dave & Lisa of London; grandmother of Bobby & Allie, Bradley, Kirstyn & Kyle. Beloved daughter of Mary & the late Raymond (1985) Ovington and daughter-in-law of the late Bob & Mable Pizzey. Dear sister of Betty (Bob) Robertson, Bill, Ray, Pat (Valerie) and sister-in-law of Joe (Diane) Pizzey & Cam (Sherry) Pizzey. Donna will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Donna & Bob were the longtime operators of Crestwood Lake Trailer Park, Burford. She worked at Darby Sportswear, Brant Feed & Seed in Brantford, and ran her own business Masquerades in Woodstock for 9 years. Donna will forever be remembered as a devoted loving person who was willing to help anyone and wanted no recognition in return. She always put everyone else before her own needs. She received that love in return as Bob cared for her for the last 19 years, retiring so he could attend to her at home, and twice a day at the nursing home for the last 4 years. A special thank you to the staff at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Woodstock.

Friends & family will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford, Ontario on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow with interment in the Ovington Family plot in Princeton Cemetery. Donations to the Woodstock Hospital Foundation, 310 Juliana Dr., Woodstock, N4V 0A4, would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.keithovington.ca 519-449-1112

A tree will be planted, by the Logan & Evans Funeral Homes, as a living memorial to Donna in Fanshawe Park, London
