Berta Pfleger (nee Eggbauer)
Passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 on her 91st birthday. Beloved Wife of Rupert for 71 years. Devoted Mom to Hilda, Marianne (Steve), John and Heidi. Loving Oma to Kristen, Ian, Ben, Johannes and Sam. Proud Great Oma to Erik, Levi, Raelynn and Sierra. Berta will be sadly missed by her large extended family in Austria and many friends in Canada.
Berta had a kind nature and a strong Christian faith, serving as a valued, lifelong member of the CWL. She lived her life in service of others, using her extraordinary cooking, gardening, sewing and knitting talents. She worked hard all her life but also knew how to really laugh. Berta touched the hearts of all who knew her and will be remembered fondly and with a smile.
Friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King St., Burford on Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 10-11am, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 11:00am. Interment Pioneer Cemetery, Burford.
