Obituary for Anita Joan Hardman (DeWeerd)
After a lengthy battle with cancer, Anita was welcomed Home into the hands of her loving Heavenly Father at the age of 48 years. Cherished by her husband and best friend, Richard; lovingly remembered by her parents: Tony & Johanna DeWeerd, and mother and father-in-law: Douglas & Ellen Weylie; siblings: Henrietta (Arnold), John (Nancy), Dave (Joanne), Carla (John); brothers-in-law: Reg (Michiko) and David; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephew.
Anita was a member of Brant Community Church where she valued serving and worshiping within her local church family. She enjoyed helping people by working as a receptionist for several years.
Friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday February 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Oakhill Cemetery, Brantford.
