Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia on Thursday October 11, 2018. Ken Symons, of Sarnia, in his 86th year. Beloved Husband of Betty (nee Banks) for 65 years. Loving Dad of Warren (Victoria), Terry, Mark, Becky, and Kristy (Ron). Cherished Grandpa of Jocelyn, Stephanie, Meghan, Daxton, Jordan, Kyle, Brianna and Karn and great-grandpa of Maelie and Boston. Also survived by his sister Eleanor and brother Alan (Dianne). Predeceased by his parents Karn & Alice, brother Donald and grandson Jeremy. Ken will be sadly missed by his many family & friends

Ken was a jack of all trades and owned and managed several businesses over the years including Pickerel Lake Lodge, the Hitching Post and Burford Texaco. He was a founding member of the Burford Snowmobile Club and a member of the Burford Optimist Club. Avid campers, they found their home away from home at Shore Acres Trailer Park in Port Dover for 25 years.

A Memorial Gathering for friends & family will be held at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Saturday November 3, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Ken’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. www.keithovington.ca 519-449-1112.
