Quietly and with dignity, Al passed away at the Brantford General Hospital with his wife of 60 years at his side, and his family close by on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 7:10pm. He was a loving and generous husband to Vi and a great father to his five sons, Bill (Eva), Ken (Barb), Joey (2013), Stephen (1979) and Todd (1987). He was a very kind and loving grandpa to five granddaughters, Nicole Leanne, Ali Sara, Jenna Wright, Jill and Lindsay Carpenter, three grandsons, Branson, Jake and Jason Palanio, Great Grandpa to Macy Taylor Bruce, Brother to Gladys Pasterjack (John) of Florida, Don Palanio (Marie) of Springs Bay, Ontario, & sister-in-law Eleanor Palanio (deceased), Nephew to J.G Pasterjack and his wife Dana of Florida.

Al was born in Fenwood, Saskatchewan. The family moved Renton when Al was very young. Al was a hard worker all of his life and janitor at Wiggin’s School of 13 years. Al worked in the trades industry handling lawnmowers, motorcycles, repairs, sharpening, sales and service. Al and his family had their own business on Henry Street in Brantford. In 1974, they moved to Burford, Ontario where Al was a manager at the Burford Arena when it was built in 1984. Al and Vi both worked at Galtaco until it closed. He retired in 2002. He travelled to Daytona Beach and all over Northern Ontario and the USA. He rode his Harley with Vi on the back, and now riding in a wonderful place with his three sons. Ride on Al-you had a full life on earth. You were loved and respected by all who knew you, especially your wife and your sons.
