Michael Arthur Brook "Mike"  Beven
Passed away peacefully, on Thursday, July 27, 2017 surrounded by his loving family, at the Brantford General Hospital, in his 61st year. Mike was born Nov. 3, 1956 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Brantford. He lived in Burford, Ontario his entire life and was the eldest son of Barry and Winnie Beven. He will be greatly missed by his fiance Heather Coombs and her family; Jennifer (Brad), Austin and Kane; Ashley (Kevin); and Cassie (Derek), Tyler. He is survived by his siblings, Cathy (Wilf) Gurney, Brian (Luigi), Brenda (Ed) Kloepfer and Joan (Don) Pedley. Loving uncle of Paul (Caitlin) Gurney and Laura (Derek) Manning; Sarah (Shawn), Katie (Blair), Adam (Melissa) and Nicole Kloepfer; and Stephen (Elaine), Stephanie (Tyler) and Sandy (C.J.) Pedley. Cherished great-uncle of Cameron and Anna Gurney and Jake Manning. Sadly missed by Aunty Doreen (John) Vermeulen. Predeceased by his father and best friend, Barry (2009). Also survived by several cousins (Beven, Tom, Barb, Nancy, Peter, David and Paul).

Mike will be greatly missed by many close family friends, neighbours, and former employees and customers of Beven Electric Limited, where he worked as an electrician along side his father. Mike was Past Master of Burford Masonic Lodge and member of Mocha Shriners and the Scottish Rite. Mike recently received recognition for 40 years as a member of the Burford Volunteer Fire Department.

Friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. A Masonic Service under the auspices of Burford Masonic Lodge #106 will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 104 King Street, Burford on Monday July 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Interment Holy Trinity Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations in Mike’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Holy Trinity Anglican Church Memorial Fund or Camp Trillium, Rainbow Lake.
